What do I do with the file when I download it? Because I downloaded it and leveling is still messed up.

I'm running version 0.0.82
Every time I try to level up, my guy looks at the floor and I can't see the list to level up.
I have no idea what I did to cause this. It was able to level twice and the next time I tried, it did this.
My PC is pretty much top of the line.
Thanks for making this great game.
